Quillset is a local-first desktop app. Your prompt library lives on your own computer. This policy explains the limited data the app handles.
Data you create stays on your device
Prompts, notes, tags, projects, and every other piece of content you create are stored locally on your computer in a database file. We do not have a server that holds your prompt library, and we cannot read your content.
Because your data is local, deleting the app or its data folder removes that data permanently. You are responsible for your own backups, which you can make with the built-in export tools.
Optional, anonymous usage analytics
To understand how the app is used and to fix problems, Quillset can send anonymous, aggregated usage events (for example, that a screen was opened). These events do not include your prompts, notes, or any personal content.
Analytics are optional and can be turned off at any time in the app settings. When disabled, no usage events are sent.
API keys and third-party AI tools
If you choose to connect an AI provider in a future version, any API keys you enter are stored in your operating system keychain on your device, not on our servers. When you send a prompt to a third-party AI tool, that tool handles your data under its own privacy policy.
The website
This marketing website may collect anonymous, aggregated visit statistics without cookies. It does not sell or share personal information.
Children
Quillset is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
